Patricia Touma is a children’s author and singer-songwriter whose work was inspired by her own children and grandchildren, who now collaborate with her in illustrating her work.

Her series of picture-and-word books, Happy Times: The Adventures of Ish and Mish (illustrated by daughter, Amy — better known as “Fluff”), began as bedtime stories that had the kids clamoring for more, more and more. It was inevitable that Pat seek out a publisher to share her work with children everywhere.

“I used to make up stories about these two children, Ish and Mish, and their adventures as they fly around the world with their puppy Jamie, holding onto one of their magic balloons,” Ms. Touma said.

Ms. Touma is also the author of the book and song, The Frost is on the Pumpkin, a coloring book, illustrated by granddaughter Christina, with the sheet music and lyrics to the eponymous Halloween song included.
